About This RoleThe ideal candidate will be a skilled assistant teacher who helps plan and implement engaging lesson plans, and fosters a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children to learn and grow. To be successful in this role, the assistant teacher must have a deep understanding of child development and be able to communicate effectively with both children and parents.
What You'll Do- Develop and implement educational programs by creating age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth in children.
- Model and support the teaching team to achieve success, and provide coaching and guidance as needed.
- Design and implement daily activities that stimulate children's curiosity and encourage active participation.
- Ensure that the classroom environment is safe, clean, and meets all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain the overall health and well-being of the classroom, including hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities and safety protocols.
- Maintain a personal development plan to stay up-to-date with best practices and continuously improve the quality of care.
Requirements- A minimum of 1 year experience in a childcare setting.
- A Child Development Associate (CDA), Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
- Technical College Early Childhood Education Certificate or enrolled in an Early Childhood Educational Program.
- Complete all required annual training.
