Teacher Assistant

Job Summary:
The Children's Center of Monmouth County is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Assistants (TAs) to support classroom teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students with special needs The ideal candidate will assist with Individualized Education Plan (IEP) implementation, classroom management, and providing individualized support to children across various age groups. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with students, contribute to their development, and gain valuable experience in a Special Education setting.
Duties:
  • Support teachers in planning and executing IEP plans aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Assist with classroom management to foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to special needs students with diverse learning needs.
  • Help implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and social skills.
  • Assist with classroom organization, materials preparation, and maintaining a clean learning space.
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and other staff members to support student progress.

Experience and Education:
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
  • Experience with special education, including working with children with autism or disabilities, is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour.
