Special Education Teachers/Tutors for Extended School Year (ESY) Program

 VACANCY NOTICE THE AVAILABILITY OF THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON SUFFICIENT FUNDING AND ENROLLMENT 

 TITLE: Special Education Teachers/Tutors for Extended School Year Program 

DATE OF OPENING: July 2026

 QUALIFICATIONS: 

  1. Certified or certifiable as a teacher of children with special needs.
  2. Teaching experience with students with language based learning disabilities.
  3. Knowledge of role based, multi-sensory phonetic reading programs, preferably the Wilson Reading System or Orton Gillingham.
  4. Experience planning and implementing special needs programs.
  5. Outstanding preparation and/or experience may be substituted for some of the above qualifications.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Preparation and tutoring of students with language based learning disabilities, hours to be determined based on the number of students, up to 4 days per week for four weeks. 

 SALARY:

 As per current contract, up to 6 hours per day, up to 4 days per week, four weeks.
