Early Childhood Teacher Assistant- Substitute

Pay Rate $18.25 / hourly

The Early Childhood Education Division is looking for a motivated Preschool Teacher Assistant to be part of the childcare team to assist in planning and implementing program goals for infants, toddlers and/or preschoolers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform daily activities such as feeding, diapering, and washing.
  • Assist in maintaining a healthy, safe environment.
  • Participate in planning child activities including preparing materials, equipment and food.
  • Maintain pertinent records such as daily charts as assigned.
  • Maintain knowledge in the field through appropriate educational activities.
  • Perform support duties as requested by the teacher.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in all staff meetings and required training sessions, including in-service training, as scheduled.
  • Maintain all program and Agency required training courses

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent or meeting EEC standards.
  • Ability to interact appropriately with children, clients and staff.
  • All candidates must have a qualifying criminal background check. A drivers license is preferred but not required.
