Job description

Position Title:
Substitute Teacher
Salary:                
$130.00 per full day for Licensed Substitutes (Must be a certified teacher) 
$120.00 per full day for Non Licensed Substitutes with Substitute Effective Teacher Training or Substitute 101 Course
$116.25 per full day for Non Licensed Substitutes       




 
    
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience working with students is highly recommended
Must complete Effective Teacher Training course. (Certified teachers are exempt from this course) 
or Subsitute 101 Course --Online course-offered by WRESA    Link:https://wresa.org/wresa-updates/                                                                             
 




  
Additional Information:
  • Substitutes are employed on an "as needed" basis.  Hours and continued employment are not guaranteed, therefore this position is not considered "permanent".
  • Teaching staff and principals schedule their own substitutes through an online website (AESOP)  
  • Substitute performance and other staff observations will determine whether a substitute will return to the school.  
  • Administrators reserve the right to schedule all preferred substitutes.  
  • Substitutes are not permitted to work more than (30) hours per week.  This is equivalent to 3 1/2 days per week.  
  • Employment with the Madison County Schools is contingent upon final Board approval.
