Position: Endocrinologist (MD/DO)
Location: Dothan, Alabama
Schedule: Full-Time | Permanent

The system includes a large regional medical center, a physician group, a foundation, and affiliations with a college of osteopathic medicine, supporting residency programs in internal medicine, transitional year, and pharmacy. It is deeply committed to clinical excellence, education, and improving the health and quality of life across the communities it serves.
The flagship medical center is a 420-bed regional referral hub serving over 460,000 residents. It is recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level II Trauma Center, and Chest Pain Center, and also operates the region's only Level III NICU and inpatient pediatric unit.

Position Summary
The facility is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Endocrinologist to join its established endocrinology practice in Dothan, Alabama.
This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive endocrine care in a collaborative, physician-led environment. The Endocrinologist will diagnose and manage a wide range of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, pituitary conditions, and metabolic disorders.
The physician will work closely with primary care providers, specialists, diabetes educators, advanced practice providers, and hospital staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population.
Visa candidates (J-1 and H-1B) are welcome to apply. The organization will also consider 2027 fellowship candidates.
Essential Position Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of endocrine and metabolic disorders
Manage patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, adrenal disease, pituitary disorders, and other endocrine conditions
Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based medicine
Interpret laboratory studies, imaging, and specialized endocrine diagnostic testing
Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists regarding patient management
Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, medications, and lifestyle modifications
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR)
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary care planning
Support and contribute to the academic mission of the organization when applicable
Qualifications
Education
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program
Completion of an accredited Endocrinology Fellowship Program
Licensure & Certification
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
Eligible for or holding an active Alabama medical license
Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
Current BLS certification required
Experience
Experienced Endocrinologists encouraged to apply
