Job Opportunity: General Anesthesiologist

UCHealth Medical Group is seeking a full-time board-eligible/board-certified general anesthesiologist to join its highly collaborative and expanding anesthesia team at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in beautiful Colorado Springs. This position offers a dynamic case mix, exceptional compensation, flexible scheduling with generous time off, and the opportunity to thrive in a physician-led, mission-driven health system dedicated to world-class patient care.

The general anesthesiologist will join a collaborative team of 50+ employed anesthesiologists practicing across:

  • Level I trauma center
  • Level III trauma center
  • Outpatient surgical center

The general anesthesiologist will provide anesthesia services for a wide variety of cases, including:

  • High-acuity trauma
  • Obstetrics (OB)
  • Major spine procedures
  • General surgery
  • Vascular surgery
  • Thoracic surgery
  • Orthopedics
  • ENT
  • Gynecology
  • Urology
  • Gastrointestinal procedures

The general anesthesiologist will deliver high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. They will participate in a manageable and equitable call rotation designed to support work-life balance, collaborate closely with surgeons, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams, maintain and expand procedural skills across diverse surgical specialties, engage in mentorship opportunities with experienced anesthesiologists, optionally participate in leadership and teaching opportunities (not required), contribute to a culture of teamwork, mutual respect, and shared success, and support UCHealth's mission to improve lives through innovation and excellence in care.

Compensation and benefits include:

  • Base salary worth up to $469,000 – $520,000 annually
  • $20,000 starting bonus
  • Additional income opportunities through extra shift availability
  • Relocation package may be available for qualified candidates
  • Paid malpractice coverage
  • Quality incentive bonus: up to $30,000 annually
