The Psychology Division in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital are pleased to announce the immediate availability of an open-rank neuropsychology faculty position with specialization in Hematology/Oncology.
The neuropsychologist in this role will join a team of dedicated neuropsychologists, pediatric psychologists, and psychology learners providing evaluation and intervention services to patients of the Texas Children's Cancer Center/Kinder Children's Cancer Center at the Texas Children's Hospital Houston Medical Center Campus. Kinder Children's Cancer Center is a first-of-its-kind, joint venture between Texas Children's Hospital and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center focused on ending childhood cancer. Clinical services will primarily include targeted and comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation, consultation, and limited inpatient evaluation. Consultation with multidisciplinary medical providers and learners will be expected. Training, innovation, program development, and clinical research are expected in this position.

The position is based in the Psychology Division of Texas Children's Hospital (TCH), which is the largest children's hospital in the United States and the primary teaching/training center for the Baylor College of Medicine's (BCM) Department of Pediatrics. TCH is one of only ten hospitals nationally designated by U.S. News and World Report for Honor Roll status in pediatrics, ranking in the top 10 for all ranked subspecialties. BCM and TCH are also nestled in the heart of Houston, a city consistently ranked among the most ethnically diverse in the United States. About Baylor College of Medicine

This faculty neuropsychology position will involve teaching and supervision of neuropsychology post-doctoral fellows within our APPCN-member fellowship program and of interns in our APA- accredited internship program. In addition, all BCM faculty members are expected to contribute to the College's academic mission. Both independent and collaborative research/scholarship opportunities are available through partnership with other Division members, as well as our subspecialty partners.
About the Division of PsychologyThe Division of Psychology within the Department of Pediatrics includes more than 60 pediatric, clinical, and neuropsychologists practicing across subspecialty areas at Texas Children's Hospital, providing care in both the inpatient and outpatient environments. BCM, our academic home, is also home to outstanding psychology training programs at the graduate, internship, and postdoctoral levels.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A doctorate degree in clinical, counseling, or school psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology from an APA or CPA approved program.
  • Completed an APA-accredited psychology internship
  • Completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology that complies with the training guidelines of APA Division 40
  • Licensure or license-eligibility in Texas
  • ABCN board certification or ABCN board eligibility
