Job description

Utah CNA Training Centers in Orem is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Teacher Assistant to support our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. The Teacher Assistant will work closely with instructors to facilitate student learning by assisting with skill demonstrations, verifying competencies, and ensuring the accuracy of student paperwork. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the education and training of future healthcare professionals in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist instructors in demonstrating and supervising CNA skills, including but not limited to vital signs, personal care, and patient safety practices.
  • Check and proofread student paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support students in mastering proficiency in required CNA skills and competencies.
  • Provide hands-on assistance during lab sessions, ensuring adherence to curriculum guidelines and best practices.
  • Monitor and document student progress, reporting any concerns to lead instructors.
  • Prepare and organize materials and equipment needed for skills demonstrations.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and program policies during instructional activities.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Current CNA certification in the state of Utah required; additional healthcare certifications preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a teaching or training capacity.
