Job Description:

The Head - Protect, Onboarding Identity Management role is responsible for developing and deploying the customer identity solutions, strategy, and providing product group ownership of the Solution Train operating in TD Scaled Agile for the US and CAN.

  • Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork, and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
  • Oversees all identity products /solutions as significant sub-components of Fraud Threat Management organization; mobilizes team & ensures executive alignment; custodian of Enterprise Protect Identity Business Plan & Roadmap
  • Develops, articulates, and enhances strategic vision for customer identity proofing as a foundation for self-serve and assisted channels
  • Progresses and maintains a TD Customer Identity strategy, including customer engagement and value creation opportunities
  • Centralized ownership of TD's Identity solutions, run as a product with defined PODs to develop and maintain core capabilities
  • Strong interface with LOBs/Channels to ensure roadmap alignment
  • Identifies and creates visibility of organizational authentication risk
  • Drives an adoption strategy to ensure standard authentication consumption vs building tactical / bespoke solutions
  • Develops and maintains talent and career development for all of CIAM
  • Leverages deep subject matter expertise to develop and execute efficient and effective customer onboarding strategy that minimizes net losses for the Bank while providing a superior UX.
  • Works closely with key business leaders and direct reports to optimize TDBG's resources and leverage TD's operating model to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and scale and innovation
  • Owns the journey vision, product roadmap and objectives that aligns the team around delivery goals
  • Responsible for the Product vision and strategy and ensuring adapts to changing customer preferences and the competitive landscape

Skills, Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degree preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the Customer Authentication and Identity domain
  • Proven technical abilities, understanding, and developing complex technical solutions with a deep understanding of the identity and authentication ecosystem
  • Strong business acumen, identifying and developing Identity and opportunities which align to LOB roadmaps
  • Entrepreneurship/Engineering mindset, track record of driving and delivering innovative ideas in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong relationship management, ability to form strong relationships with senior leaders and build trust
  • Proven business and financial acumen
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant banking and regulatory rules and policies
  • Organizationally astute, with superior influencing, collaboration, and communication skills
