Job description

TCT Ministries and Affiliates is a faith-based, non-profit Christian organization dedicated to sharing the Gospel and serving others with integrity, excellence, and compassion. We are seeking an Office Manager who shares our Christian values and is committed to stewardship, accountability, and service. This is a fully on-site position located in Akron, Ohio. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. JOB SUMMARY

The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing administrative operations of Akron facility and communication between departments in Akron and other offices to ensure smooth and effective operations of the Akron facility and within the WRLM market.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manages Guest Coordinator and Receptionist to ensure hospitality is given to all TCT guests and visitors.
  • Responsible for maintenance of Akron facilities.
  • Manages office supply inventory to ensure proper supplies are maintained and arrive in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for putting in purchase orders and receiving to ensure needed orders and delivers are made and arrive on time, and the accounting department receives timely feedback.
  • Controls Petty Cash to ensure small cash expenditures are handled in a timely manner and in accordance with ministry policies.
  • Communicates with Vendors to ensure facility needs are met in a timely fashion.
  • Responsible for FCC compliance for WRLM.
  • Responsible for guest experience.
  • Assistant Safety Officer for Akron Facility


SUPERVISORY DUTIES

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and direction to team members, fostering a positive work environment and motivating staff to achieve performance goals.
  • Monitor and assess employee performance through regular check-ins, feedback, and performance reviews, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Identify training needs, facilitate skill development, and support career growth by recommending opportunities for employees to enhance their knowledge and abilities.
  • Ensure that the team has the necessary resources, tools, and equipment to perform their duties effectively, addressing any resource gaps as needed.
  • Address and resolve conflicts, complaints, and issues within the team, maintaining a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Ensure that team members follow ministry policies, procedures, and legal requirements, maintaining consistent standards and practices.
  • Set clear team goals, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as necessary to meet objectives, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide regular updates to upper management on team performance, challenges, and accomplishments, and ensure open communication within the team and across departments.


OTHER DUTIES

  • Assists with answering calls and reception to ensure all calls and guests are met with a professional ministry experience.
  • Assists with sending and receiving packages.
  • Organizes employee appreciation events.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education in media production or a related field preferred.
  • Six (6) or more years of experience in office management required.
  • Church or ministry experience preferred


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational, and time management abilities to oversee multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide and inspire staff.
  • Motor Vehicle Operation
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both in oral and written formats.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and achieving results.
  • Strong decision-making abilities and the ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion and integrity.
