Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Perioperative Nurse located in Fairbanks, AK. The Perioperative Nurse will provide care for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Responsibilities include preparing operating rooms, assisting during surgeries, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with surgical teams to coordinate care and ensure successful outcomes. Additional duties involve maintaining sterile environments, monitoring patients’ conditions, and providing post-operative care support.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Operating Room protocols and procedures
  • Knowledge of Medicine, Nursing principles, and Patient Care practices
  • Experience and skills in Surgery, including assisting surgeons and ensuring patient safety
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska or ability to obtain an Alaska RN license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Previous perioperative or surgical nursing experience is preferred
