Dual Enrollment Specialist
Title: Dual Enrollment Specialist
Classification: Part-time, Temporary, non-exempt, hourly
Office Location: TCAT - McMinnville

Hours: Flexible; 28 hours or fewer per week
Pay: $15/hour
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
  • One year of experience in data entry, office administration, or related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with multiple local businesses, employers, industry, workforce development agencies, secondary and post-secondary institutions
  • Evidence of strong work ethic as it relates to timeliness of reporting and deadlines
  • Possess a valid Tennessee Driver's License
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule which may include some weekend or evening hours
  • Willing to travel regularly
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical diploma, Associate degree, or higher
  • Experience with student information systems (e.g., Banner, PowerSchool, Ellucian)
  • Ability to lead, plan and prioritize projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of dual enrollment grant requirements
General Duties:
  • Act as a liaison between TCAT-McMinnville personnel, area high schools, students, parents, and employers
  • Manage communications with prospective students, parents, guests, high school counselors, employers, and college constituents
  • Assist with coordination of tours on campus
  • Coordinate NC3 Signing Days and attend assigned high school events as requested
  • Ensure dual enrollment registration and grant applications are completed at the beginning of each high school term
  • Oversee all dual student enrollment and records
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate tracking tools of academic performance and success for dual enrollment students. Keep accurate data on dual enrollment as requested
  • Entering, updating, and maintaining data in computer systems or database
  • Typing information from documents, verifying accuracy, organizing records, and potentially generating reports
Key Responsibilities - Essential Job Functions: The Data Entry Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of student and institutional records. This position is responsible for entering, updating, and maintaining data in student information systems and administrative databases. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Data Collection: Visit local high schools within the TCAT-McMinnville service area to assist students with TCAT applications, TSAC applications, and answer questions about dual enrollment opportunities at the high schools.
  • Data Input: Accurately entering information into databases and systems.
  • Data Verification: Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of entered data
  • Data Maintenance: Updating existing records and organizing data
  • Report Generation: Assisting with creating reports based on the data
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining both digital and physical files
  • Confidentiality: Protecting sensitive data and adhering to privacy policies
  • Communication: Communicating with team members regarding data requirements
  • Data Security: Performing regular backups to prevent data loss
  • Other duties as assigned.

Background checks will be completed on all new hires. Employees will be asked to sign a background release authorizing TCAT - McMinnville to complete a background check which will include the following: Sex Offender Registry, County Criminal & Federal Criminal.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions (ADA REQUIREMENTS):
Walking, climbing, bending, stooping. Work is performed in office and classroom environments. Position requires the use of a computer.
