Job summary:
Reporting to the Patient Care Services Director/Shift Manager/Designee, the Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Responsible for monitoring the patient's physiological status in the immediate postoperative period; communicates with the surgeon and anesthesiologist about patient conditions and receives direction for patient management; intercedes to maintain optimum homeostasis.
Education:
Required: Graduated from state approved school of nursing or an accredited school.
Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing
Experience:
Minimum 1+ years recent (within 6 months) acute care experience in PACU or ICU
License/Certificates/Credentials:
Current: CA RN licensure, ACLS, PALS. TCAR required within 12 months of hire/transfer. For current employees/transfers who have TNCC, TCAR must be obtained by October 1, 2019.
