Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience to manage daily HR operations, employee relations, and compliance. In this role, you will own key HR functions including end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits and leave administration, regulatory compliance, workers' compensation claims, and HRIS management (ADP).

Responsibilities

  • HRIS, Analytics & Payroll Coordination: Administer ADP to manage employee lifecycle changes (promotions, compensation adjustments, terminations), run custom workforce metrics (turnover, overtime, headcount), and coordinate with Payroll to resolve timekeeping and wage discrepancies.
  • Employee Relations & Investigations: Serve as the primary contact for workplace concerns; advise managers on performance management and disciplinary actions; conduct workplace investigations into complaints/policy violations; and coordinate offboarding and exit interviews.
  • Recruiting & Onboarding: Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, source and interview candidates, manage background checks and pre-employment requirements, and lead comprehensive new-hire orientations.
  • Benefits, Leave & Accommodations: Administer open enrollment and qualifying life events; manage and track FMLA/LOA requests; oversee the ADA interactive process for accommodations; and coordinate with insurance brokers and carriers.
  • Workers' Compensation & Safety: Coordinate workplace injury reporting, manage active workers' comp claims with carriers, facilitate modified-duty/return-to-work programs, and support OSHA recordkeeping requirements.
  • Compliance & Employment Administration: Ensure adherence to federal, Florida, and local labor laws (FLSA, EEOC, FMLA, ADA); administer Form I-9/E-Verify processes; support unemployment claims; and maintain updated policy handbooks.
  • Training & Engagement: Support employee engagement, training, retention strategies, and other strategic HR projects as assigned.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Required proficiency with ADP (or similar enterprise HRIS) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of US and Florida employment laws, FMLA/ADA, workers' compensation, and wage-and-hour guidelines.
  • Experience handling workplace investigations, employee relations, and I-9/E-Verify administration.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
