What is tax software?

Tax software is a digital tool designed to help individuals and businesses prepare, file, and manage their tax returns. It guides users through the process of inputting financial data, calculates tax obligations, and ensures compliance with tax laws and regulations. Many tax software programs also provide error checking, tax-saving tips, and options for e-filing directly with tax authorities. Popular tax software can be used online or downloaded to a computer, making tax filing more accessible and efficient.
