Why Consider This Job Opportunity

The Tax Accountant supports, prepares, reviews, and files federal, state and local corporate tax returns while ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. This position performs tax research to minimize company tax liabilities, reconcile general ledger tax accounts, and supports year-end provisional tax calculations.

What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)
  • Assist and prepare tax research.
  • Assist and prepare indirect tax returns, including quarterly estimated payments and extensions.
  • Assist external tax advisors by preparing federal and state tax return schedules, including any related work papers.
  • Assist with Identifying tax planning opportunities which includes nexus studies, recommend strategies for process improvement to reduce compliance risk and administrative burdens.
  • Support and assist with tax audits and notices.
  • Support yearend tax provisions, provisional tax calculations, and related work papers.
Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities
  • Position most often functions as an information provider but also acts as a decision maker.
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities and duties as needed.
What Is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 2+ years' experience in finance, accounting, and tax.
  • Intermediate knowledge of tax laws and accounting principles.
  • Experience with tax research and tax preparation.
  • Intermediate or higher proficiency level with Microsoft Office Suite.
