They oversee and manage financial, quality, and technical milestones to guarantee project success and client satisfaction. Leveraging their knowledge, experience, and expertise, our project managers anticipate and resolve critical issues that arise during project design and construction. They act as the main point of contact between internal and external project team members. Through cultivating strong client relations, our project managers serve as key ambassadors of KL&A's brand. We highly esteem this pivotal leadership role and foster career growth by offering ongoing education and mentorship from senior staff.

The senior project manager in the Ogden office also will be responsible for being the local office manager. This position entails working hand in hand with the current staff in the office, the Engineering Team Leadership and Corporate Leadership in staff growth and recruitment of new staff in Utah office and being highly engaged in Utah marketing efforts.

Senior Engineering Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Supervises a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring efficient operation.

  • Acts as a technical expert, applying advanced engineering concepts, principles, and methods.

  • Provides mentorship and technical guidance for team members career growth.

  • Prepares proposals for professional services to meet client needs.

  • Reviews and approves scopes, budgets, and schedules to ensure project alignment.

  • Leads project meetings internally and externally.

  • Reviews complete project documents for conformity, quality assurance, and risk management.

  • Markets KL&A services through a doer/seller model and emphasizes excellent client service.

  • Represents the organization through client interactions and any industry events attended.

Senior Engineering Project Manager Qualifications:

  • ABET accredited degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering

  • Utah Licensed SE

  • Minimum of 15 years of design experience with 4-5 years of project management with various building types

  • Experience on major projects of moderate scope with complex design features

  • Experience on projects within high seismic regions.

  • Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship, both presently and in the future

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Utah construction practices

  • Active relationships with Utah based Builders and Designers

  • Proficiency in Revit Structures

  • Experience with RAM and/or RISA analysis models

  • Experience with VantagePoint Planning Software
