Your role at a glance

The Senior Specialist, Tax is responsible for independently executing complex tax compliance, provision, and advisory activities across the organization. This role applies deep technical knowledge to ensure accurate filings, strong documentation, and effective application of tax policies across multiple jurisdictions.
The Senior Specialist supports business transactions, evaluates tax implications of complex activities, and serves as a key technical resource within the tax function, operating with minimal supervision and exercising sound professional judgment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAdvanced Tax Execution & Technical ReviewManage US corporate tax structuring initiatives aligned to business growth and cross-border operationsSupport the preparation of US Federal and State tax filingsManage, prepare and support Sales and Use tax matters and filings in multiple StatesManage Property Tax processes and filings, including transfer taxes, across a portfolio of Data Center assets in multiple StatesProvide coordination support for international tax matters, and cooperation with stakeholders across EMEA, India, APAC and JapanPerform technical tax research and provide documented conclusions on complex or non-routine tax matters.Interact and influence cross functional stakeholders and integrate tax considerations into business decisions.Tax Policy Application & DocumentationMaintain and enhance tax documentation, templates, and compliance toolkits (e.g., transfer pricing support, audit files, statutory schedules).Support implementation of tax policy updates driven by regulatory changes or business activity.Ensure tax documentation supports audit readiness and internal control requirements.Provide technical guidance to Finance and business teams on applying tax policies correctly.Audit, Risk & Compliance SupportLead preparation of audit documentation and responses for tax authority inquiries and internal/external audits.Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impacts on filings, provisions, and business activities.Identify compliance and operational risks and support implementation of corrective actions.Execute and maintain internal controls related to tax processes.Transaction & Business SupportEvaluate tax implications of business transactions, including M&A activity, new ventures, restructurings, and complex commercial arrangements.Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Operations to embed tax considerations into planning and execution.Prepare calculations, schedules, and analyses to support leadership decision-making.Coordinate with external advisors on technical matters and transaction support.Process Improvement & Knowledge SharingContribute to improvements in tax processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Support adoption of digital tools and automation initiatives within the tax function.Serve as a technical resource and informal mentor to Specialists.KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTESStrong technical knowledge of corporate, indirect, international and property tax.Experience within the Data Center, real estate or infrastructure industries an advantageSolid understanding of accounting standards (IFRS/local GAAP) and tax provisions.High attention to detail with the ability to manage complex tax matters independently.Experience working in global environmentsStrong analytical, research, and documentation skills.Effective communicator with the ability to explain technical tax matters clearly.Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONSBachelor's degree or equivalent in finance / accounting or related field preferred.Registered with a professional body as Tax Practitioner.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE6-10 years of progressive experience in corporate tax, international tax, sales and use tax, property tax.Experience with tax compliance, provisions, audits, and advisory work in multi-entity or multi-jurisdiction environments.Demonstrated ability to handle complex tax matters with limited supervision.Proficiency with tax and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, OneSource, Vertex, Avalara) and advanced Excel skills.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSRemain stationary for long periods of time.Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment.Perform work during US business hours and time zones.WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTSSome Travel required.Perform work from a remote location with stable internet connection.

Compensation Pay Range

For roles residing in the US, we share pay and benefit levels to support pay transparency requirements. For other countries, we are more than happy to share our competitive pay and benefit levels during the interview process.


This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.


NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is:

$138,600.00 - $168,300.00

All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
