Familiarity with tax preparation software, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting systems is commonly required. When beginning a tax role without prior experience, most firms provide comprehensive onboarding and training programs to help you build foundational knowledge of tax regulations, software, and procedures. Address client inquiries while helping them overcome tax-related challenges.
