Job description

We are currently seeking aSenior Tax Managerto join our international public accounting practice, RODL, in our Houston, TX office. Your responsibilities will focus on Tax Compliance mainly for Corporations in the Manufacturing & Distribution industry. You will work with a select team providing tax services to predominately US-Inbound International Businesses. Our ideal candidate has been with a public accounting firm and really knows tax, and can manage multiple engagements.You will have a great deal of autonomy but will work in a team environment.

Location: The primary location for this position is in Houston, TX (on-site if local).The team is also open to candidates who are available for on-site work at ourBirmingham, AL,orDenver, COoffices to assist the Houston team remotely.


Responsibilities:

  • Main focus will be on tax compliance
  • Be part of our leadership team, train, and develop staff
  • Manage client work and relationships
  • Review federal and state corporate income tax returns, with some partnership and individual returns exposure
  • Review current and deferred income tax provisions for corporate taxpayers under ASC 740
  • Assist with tax consulting and research, state and local, domestic and international matters common to our clients

Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of tax experience in public accounting, preferably with international tax compliance exposure
  • Bachelors or Masters in Accountancy or Taxation, or similar program from an accredited college/university
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of income tax return review experience
  • CCH Axcess experience
  • ProSystem fx Engagement experience
