Primary Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competency in technical skills, work quality, and application of professional and firm standards.
  • Prepares complex individual, fiduciary, employee benefit plans, non-profit, corporate, and partnership tax returns.

  • Performs supervised technical research in situations requiring judgment and formulation of alternative courses of action.
  • Meets time constraints and client deadlines.
  • Meets with prospective clients and cultivates prospects through referral sources.
  • Assumes tax person responsibility for less complex business clients.
  • Develops client relationships through business and social meetings.
  • Develops expertise within agreed upon industry niches.
  • Makes presentations on topics within specialty areas, as requested.
  • Performs as a resource in designated areas for tax questions and issues from both tax and A&A staff.
  • Performs formal training sessions for staff.
  • Assists with tax administration projects assigned by managers and partners.
  • Becomes involved in state/local professional organizations, serves on state/local committees, and accepts volunteer positions in local community organizations.
  • Supervises the training, monitoring, and mentoring of staff and interns.
Education, Experience, & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from a four-year college or university
  • Four (4) to six (6) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Active CPA License is a plus, candidates pursuing certification are encouraged to apply
