Overview

Provides the research and resolution of penalty notices received by Operating Risk. Utilizes root cause analysis to identify penalty prevention enhancements.


Responsibilities
  • Researches penalty issues in a timely manner to determine root cause and uses the information to determine most appropriate means of penalty resolution.
  • Provides research and response to penalty issues to internal and external customers to ensure accurately and timely resolution.
  • Identifies and participates in penalty prevention enhancements and makes recommendations to leadership to implement recommendations.
  • Works with internal and external partners to obtain research materials necessary for resolutions, and identifying root cause trends.
  • Identifies internal departments and individuals responsible for penalty issues and contacts them to assist with alleviating future issues.
  • Provides problem analysis and resolution in a timely and efficient manner to meet departmental needs.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of all changes pertaining to various product offerings, regulatory changes, policy changes and industry developments.
  • Assists in regular review of programs and systems and initiates requests for enhancements.
  • Assists in regular review of documentation to ensure accuracy of updates and revisions.
  • Generates written correspondence to tax agencies for consideration.
  • Identifies processing efficiencies and works with management to implement updated procedures.

Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree - Required
  • Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
  • 4 years of experience in Customer service or payroll.

Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $24.93 - $39.17 hourly. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
