Overview Join our dynamic accounting firm in Utah County as a Tax Accountant across multiple levels—Preparer, Associate, Senior, and Manager. These full‐time, onsite positions are based in our Lehi, South Jordan, and Provo offices. Core Responsibilities (All Levels) Prepare and review accurate federal, state, and local tax returns (e.g., 1040, 1120, 1065, 1041). Maintain comprehensive, well‐organized tax workpapers and documentation. Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding tax matters, collection of information, and filing status. Stay up‐to‐date on changes in tax legislation and regulatory requirements. Specific Roles Tax Preparer / Associate This entry‐level role focuses on fundamental tax preparation and support tasks under supervision. Experience: 0–2 years of tax preparation experience, or recent college graduate. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Skills: Basic proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., CCH, ProSystem fx); strong analytical and organizational skills. Key Tasks: Data input, preparation of simpler individual (1040) and small‐business returns, assistance with tax projections, and general administrative support for the tax team. Tax Senior This leadership role manages complex engagements, reviews preparer work, and advises clients. Experience: 3+ years of progressive public‐accounting tax experience. Certification: CPA license or actively pursuing certification. Skills: Mastery of tax software and research tools (e.g., RIA, BNA); strong client management and mentorship abilities. Key Tasks: Reviewing complex individual, corporate, and partnership returns; tax planning and consulting; training and mentoring Tax Associates/Preparers; representing clients before taxing authorities. Tax Manager Oversees multiple client engagements, leads a team of tax professionals, and drives business development. Experience: 6+ years of public‐accounting tax experience, including 2+ years managing staff. Certification: CPA license.
