Survey Project Manager - Energy
Summary:
This is an office role that would provide project manager support for Energy related projects. This role would include items related to project management such as developing proposals, preparing scope of work and associated fees, managing project teams, monitoring budgets, scheduling and working with project teams. This position could include the need to manage staff and provide career development. Professional expectations would include boundary calculations, easement preparation, review and analysis, title and deed review, preparation and/or review of survey drawings, consulting with team on survey calculations, business development as directed by Energy Sector Leader, maintaining client relationships. This candidate would be expected to develop project budgets, would be accountable for working within project budgets and managing time across multiple projects at any given time. This role may include the expectation for managing people. This position would require a utilization rate of 70% - 80%.

  • Oversee staff responsible for converting field survey data into CAD drawings
  • Perform and/or provide professional oversight for survey calculations for property boundaries, easements, deeds, etc.
  • Provide oversight for all aspects of field survey operations if needed
  • Provide oversight and/or review for all aspects of preparation of drawings, plots, maps, easements, records and documents related to surveys for the Energy team
  • Prepare and/or oversee written legal descriptions of property boundaries for use in deeds, easements or other legal documents
  • Search or provide oversight of researching legal records, survey records, and land titles in order to obtain information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed
  • Support and mentor survey staff
