Position Summary
The Consolidations and Reporting Manager oversees month-end consolidations and reporting activities, partnering with finance and accounting staff to ensure timely reporting with a high degree of accuracy and integrity in the company's books and records. The Consolidations and Reporting Manager also researches, interprets and applies accounting and reporting concepts and policies, ensures internal control compliance, leads team meetings, provides training and guidance, reviews the work of others within the accounting team, and helps to identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions
  • Manages the consolidations and reporting activities of the department which include preparing financial statements and disclosures under US GAAP and IFRS, researching technical accounting topics and preparing whitepapers, supporting the Company's annual goodwill impairment study and preparing and implementing accounting policies
  • Partners cross-functionally with corporate accounting, financial systems, revenue, tax and FP&A teams to support monthly and quarterly reporting requirements
  • Manages month-end close and quarterly and annual reporting processes to ensure all required tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Assists with auditor inquiries and requests
  • Assists with recruiting efforts
  • Leads and develops consolidations and reporting team members by setting clear goals, aligning priorities, monitoring performance, and providing coaching to drive productivity, collaboration, and effective workload management.
  • Communicates effectively and builds strong relationships throughout the organization
  • Proactively initiates business process improvements
  • Assists with special projects
  • Follows all CDK Global policies and procedures
  • Complete all mandatory assigned compliance tasks and acknowledgements
  • Meet or exceed all performance expectations
  • Hire and train new employees
  • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
  • Set goals for performance, monitor employee productivity, and provide constructive feedback and coaching

Required Job Skills & Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience, including public accounting or relevant SEC reporting experience
  • Experience supervising significant areas of accounting or financial reporting
  • Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts under US GAAP
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and financial reporting
  • Desire and ability to lead, mentor and develop staff
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel required
  • Successful track record of independently managing multiple projects with competing priorities while maintaining high-quality deliverables
  • Strong analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Well-rounded business judgment to recognize and respond to cross-departmental needs
  • Demonstrates accountability to personal work product

Preferred Job Skills & Qualifications
  • CPA designation or CPA candidate strongly preferred
  • Master's degree preferred
  • IFRS experience is beneficial but not required
  • Experience with Oracle desired

Compensation: $130,000 - $145,000
