Job description

 

JOB SUMMARY  

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all production and warehouse operations, including surplus and repair value streams, inventory, parts, and material flow. This role focuses on achieving performance goals in safety, quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, inventory accuracy, and productivity. The Operations Manager drives continuous improvement, develops team capability, and ensures efficient workflow, systems, and processes to support business growth. 

This position requires a proactive leader who can balance strategic planning with hands-on operational management. The successful candidate will foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement while driving efficiency and supporting company growth initiatives. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Lead and develop a diverse team of Operations Specialists, Technicians, and Support Staff.  

  • Build leadership capability through training, performance management, and succession planning.  

  • Manage daily operations to ensure on-time delivery, product quality, and optimal resource utilization.  

  • Develop and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.  

  • Promote and enforce quality & safety standards in compliance with regulations and company policies.  

  • Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify trends, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.  

  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and customer service to optimize processes and ensure customer satisfaction.  

  • Manage budgets, ensure cost control, and monitor financial performance of operational areas.  

  • Stay informed on industry trends and technology to improve production and service capabilities.  

  • Lead special operational projects, including new equipment integration and process optimization initiatives. 

  • May be modified from time to time; Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned

  • Supervise and develop Specialists, Technicians, and other support staff.
