About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to join a growing rowing and water-sports company based in New Jersey, USA.
This role is ideal for a sales professional with strong experience in B2B and/or B2C sales, distributor management, and relationship building within the sports, fitness, lifestyle, or equipment industry. The position is initially offered on a contract basis, with a strong possibility of conversion to a permanent role based on performance and business requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesDrive sales growth across assigned territories in the US market
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets
Identify and onboard dealers, distributors, clubs, academies, and institutional clients
Build strong relationships with rowing clubs, schools, universities, fitness centers, and sports organizations
Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to closure
Conduct product presentations, demos, and client meetings (virtual and in-person)
Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to support campaigns and product launches
Track sales pipeline, forecasts, and performance reports
Represent the brand at industry events, exhibitions, and sporting forums
Required QualificationsProven experience as a Sales Manager / Business Development Manager
Strong background in field sales, account management, or channel sales
Experience in sports, fitness equipment, lifestyle products, or related industries is highly preferred
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
Self-driven with strong ownership and target orientation
Ability to work in a hybrid model and travel locally when required
Preferred / Nice-to-HaveExperience working with sports clubs, academies, or educational institutions
Understanding of rowing, water sports, or endurance sports ecosystem
Existing network within sports or fitness communities in the US
