Job Title- SAP Solution Architect
Project Location – Hybrid – ~50% onsite (likely 1 week onsite, 1 week remote) Atlanta, GA
Duration- 12+ months contract

Start Date: Target onboarding by early to mid-August
Overview: Client is implementing SAP Transportation Management (TM) for the first time. We're hiring two functional consultants to support the implementation (led by Westernacher) and transition into long-term support roles post-go-live.
Key Details : Must-Have Experience:
- At least one SAP TM implementation
- Strong hands-on config in:
- Transportation planning & execution
- Freight order management
- Freight settlement
- Carrier collaboration
Ability to explain configuration decisions & business context Interview Process:
- 2 rounds (at least one video, possibly one in-person)
- No phone screens; no earpieces or AirPods allowed
- Deep technical validation—must speak to what's on the resume
Important Notes:
- This is not a training opportunity—we need TM-capable resources from day one
- Authenticity is key—no AI-generated resumes or inflated experience
- TM will run on a standalone HANA system, though Delta’s core ECC is not yet S/4

Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred
- 5+ years of experience with TM 9.3 or above.
- Overall, 5+ yrs of SAP Functional experience in SAP logistics.
Experience in following functions :
- 1. Transportation Network
- 2. Freight Unit Building Rule (FUBR)
- 3. Freight unit Order Tendering and Carrier Determination.
- 4. CIF-Integration Models Definition, Configuration and Error Remediation
- 5. Transportation Charge Management Configuration.
- 6. Should be knowledgeable in SAP TM Master Data Management Product, Business Partner, Dangerous goods, Transportation network (locations, routes, and zones) Resources (Vehicles, trailers, Handing units).
- 7. Order Management integration with SAP TM
- 8. Planning - Selection Profiles and Planning Profiles, conditions Optimizer Planning, Schedules, Freight Execution Carrier selection and Tendering.
- 9. SAP TM business process: Inbound and outbound Shipments (Domestic and International) Transportation Load Builder (FTL, LTL Package Builder (Mix Product packing and Layer building)
- 10. Shipper scenario with all modes of transport Road, ocean, Rail and Ocean. Ocean Air Freight Order Transpiration Planning (Freight Units, Freight proposal and Freight Orders)
- 11. Transportation Execution (Carrier Selection, Tendering, Delivery and Shipment proposals)
- 12. Freight Settlement (Charge Management, Charge Calculations, Freight Settlement) and cost distribution.
- Experience in a full project lifecycle highly desired.
- Knowledge of RFC’s, BAPI’s, BADI’s, BDC’s, User Exits, and enhancement points.
- Knowledge in TM Queue processing.
- Strong knowledge of outbound/inbound ABAP interfaces using IDOCs, BAPIs, RFCs to/from Middleware, and flat files.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at different levels within the organization.
- SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) integration and configuration experience highly desired
- SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) cross-module experience highly desired (MM, PM)
- Agile Methodology - Project Experience
Responsibilities:
- Participates in developing functional requirements, testing, training, and implementing Applications. Conducts business process analyses, needs assessments and preliminary cost/benefits analysis in an effort to align information technology with business objectives.
