Job description

We are growing! We are looking for positive individuals with an eye for detail and who enjoy using machines to create small batch and custom one-off parts. As a machinist, you will be a key member of a machining team, typically working standard 8-hour shifts with occasional overtime during peak production periods.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machines to produce precision parts
  • Performs Lathe operations (turning, boring, threading)
  • Performs Milling operations (drilling, tapping, boring, etc.)
  • Performs quality inspections to ensure part accuracy
  • Interprets blueprints and specifications for manufacturing
  • Collaborates effectively with team members
  • Sets up and adjusts machines as needed
  • Maintains safety compliance during all operations
  • Accurately records project information and time on project documents
  • Operates Fork Trucks
  • Lifts, tightens, adjusts and/or secures heavy objects to perform work duties
  • Keeps work area neat and clean

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in machining
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in CNC machining and manual machining
  • Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills
  • Experience in machine setup and quality control
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safety compliance
  • Familiarity with TRAK Lathe and TRAK Mill machines a plus
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and adequately carry out a range of physical labor
