Job Title: Tanker Loader
Department: Processing
Location: Trillium Farms- Harpster, Ohio
Reports To: Processing Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Travel: Minimal (on-site only)
Compensation: $22.00/hr
Job Summary
The Tanker Loader plays a vital role in ensuring food safety, sanitation, and efficient transport of liquid egg products. This position includes driving a semi-truck within the facility, operating sanitation systems, performing clean-in-place (CIP) procedures, handling quality control tasks, and completing necessary documentation. The Tanker Loader helps maintain a clean and compliant environment, directly supporting production flow and product integrity.
Essential Job Functions
  • Drive semi-trucks on-site and position tankers in designated loading bays
  • Sanitize tankers using internal CIP procedures following QA swab results
  • Mix and apply cleaning chemicals safely according to protocol
  • Operate control system to manage the CIP process and fluid loading
  • Perform chemical titrations and record quality assurance data
  • Seal tanker access points post-fill to maintain food safety integrity
  • Process 4-6 tankers per day during a typical shift
  • Assist with morning setup and cleanup of the egg-breaking area
  • Support sanitation efforts during breaker washdown and candler breaks
  • Keep the tanker bay area clean and free from pests such as flies
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
  • Basic mechanical and technical skills to operate control systems
  • Ability to work independently while following strict procedures
  • Effective communication and teamwork

Required Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license (CDL not required but a plus)

  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in food production or sanitation
  • Knowledge of CIP systems or experience with liquid handling
  • Basic understanding of quality assurance processes
  • CDL license or prior semi-truck driving experience on private property
Work Environment
  • On-site work in a production and sanitation area
  • Exposure to high-moisture, warm or cold conditions, and cleaning chemicals
  • Routine handling of large equipment, cleaning hoses, and chemical containers
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
  • Periods of standing, walking, and sitting during truck operation
