Job description

GENERAL LABOR COMBO - Salad Production
  • Cleans designated areas to include sweeping and trash removal.
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds on a continuous basis and have repetitive hand and eye movement ability.
  • Must pass physical strength test
  • Must be able to stand, bend, reach, walk, twist and squat for the entirety of the shift.
  • Must be able to work in a cold atmosphere (32-38 Degrees Fahrenheit)
  • Must be able to work around wet surfaces and moderate to high noise levels.
  • Team player and ability to multitask on a daily basis.
  • Ability to follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to work in all areas and environments within the plant.
  • Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends.
Trim Deck
  • Pushes product-filled bins and stages materials.
  • Places product onto conveyer belt
  • Sorts out and preps raw material (e.g., radish, snap peas, and snow peas)
  • Covers breaks and lunches for Dryer Operators and General Laborers.
Pack-Out
  • Assembles cardboard boxes when case erector is out of order.
  • Covers breaks and lunches for Case Erectors and Packers.
  • Distributes condiments.
  • Palletizes when automated palletizers are out of order.
  • Wraps pallets when automated stretch wrapper is out of order.
  • Distributes film and stages materials
  • Re-work: Disposes of bags/bowls/boxes/clams/trays with leakage, Julian date, nitrogen/oxygen, and/or SKU discrepancy issues. The salvaged product is then sorted, distributed into bins, and dumped onto incline conveyer belt for reuse.
  • Cleans cooling shaker when a product changeover is required.
  • Cleans shaker room at the end of shift.
ASL (Automated Salad Line)
  • Covers breaks and lunches for Case Erectors, Dryer Operators, Bin Dumpers, and Packers.
  • Re-work: Disposes of bags/bowls/boxes/clams/trays with leakage, Julian date, nitrogen/oxygen, and/or SKU discrepancy issues. The salvaged product is then sorted, distributed into bins, and dumped onto incline conveyer belt for reuse.
  • Assists with palletizing (e.g., taper responsibilities)
  • Inspects trans-slice blades
  • Refills water tanks
  • Sanitizes, cleans, and blows debris off the floor.
  • Operates bin dumper
  • When Eriez machine (carrot and cabbage blender) is down, manually mixes in cabbage and carrots.
  • When line is down, dumps product manually.
  • Ensures cases flow smoothly and contain the correct amount of product.
