Job description

We are seeking a Class A CDL Driver with proven experience transporting corrosive chemicals in DOT-compliant lined tank trailers. This role requires strict adherence to DOT, FMCSA, and HazMat regulations, a strong safety mindset, and exceptional professionalism.

Earn from $33 to $35 per Hour!

Must have a valid CDL A License

Hazmat & Tanker Endorsements Required

Must have a TWIC Card

At Least 2 years of lined trailer experience preferred


Drivers must be detail-oriented, experienced with chemical handling procedures, and committed to safe, compliant delivery of hazardous materials. Driver must also be self-sufficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle (CMV) to haul corrosive chemicals in DOT-compliant lined trailers.
  • Perform proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
  • Ensure all loads are secured and transported in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Accurately complete and maintain required paperwork, including shipping papers, Bills of Lading (BOLs), and driver logs (ELD).
  • Follow proper PPE and safety procedures when loading, unloading, and transporting corrosive chemicals.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and maintenance teams.
  • Report equipment issues, incidents, and violations immediately.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and comply with ongoing drug & alcohol testing, including HazMat-specific requirements.
  • Adhere to all environmental and company safety policies when handling hazardous materials.


Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A CDL with current Hazardous Materials (HazMat) and Tanker endorsements required.
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience hauling hazardous materials, including corrosive chemicals in lined trailers preferred.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, FMCSA compliance, and hazardous materials transport protocols
  • Must pass DOT physical and maintain a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC)
  • Clean MVR and ability to pass background checks and random drug/alcohol testing
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and wear required PPE
