Senior Water/Wastewater Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Water/Wastewater Design Professional to join our consulting team. The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer with 10+ years of experience delivering planning and design solutions for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead meaningful projects, collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and help shape critical community infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment facilities, pump stations, storage systems, pipelines, and related utility improvements.
  • Prepare or oversee engineering reports, technical specifications, construction drawings, and cost estimates.
  • Manage projects through design and provide support during bidding and construction phases.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, subconsultants, and internal multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide technical leadership, design oversight, and quality control for project deliverables.
  • Support permitting and regulatory compliance for municipal water and wastewater projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technical staff and contribute to team development.
  • Participate in client meetings, proposal development, and business development efforts.
  • Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering design, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Strong experience with municipal water and wastewater systems design.
  • Proven ability to prepare plans, specifications, engineering reports, and design calculations.
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines effectively.
