POSITION SUMMARY:
The Equipment Technician is responsible for the monitoring of medical gas cylinder contents, cylinder tank replacement, and bulk liquid systems contents monitoring as authorized. The Equipment Technician decontaminates, processes, assembles and performs operation verification procedures on respiratory therapy equipment and supplies. The Equipment Technician monitors medical gas utilization with associated computerized billing functions. The Equipment Technician assesses respiratory supply inventories and re-orders supply and non-supply stock as needed or authorized. The Respiratory Equipment Technician supports and contributes to the service excellence mission of Enloe Medical Center and the Respiratory Care Department.

The Equipment Technician must be able to develop a working knowledge of the equipment used in cleaning, disinfection and operation verification of respiratory equipment. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
