Tanium Engineer
Onsite Annapolis Junction, MD | US Citizenship Required | Travel (less than 10%)
Clearance level: Active TS/SCI with Poly Summary
Scute is seeking a Tanium Engineer to support the deployment, configuration, and sustainment of the Tanium platform across a global Customer enterprise. This role enables improved endpoint configuration management, compliance, and security visibility across multiple security domains. The ideal candidate brings strong IT and cybersecurity expertise, hands-on experience with Tanium modules, and the ability to operate in a large, complex enterprise environment. Responsibilities
-Implement and operate the Tanium platform across U and TS networks
-Support enterprise-wide endpoint configuration management and compliance efforts
-Configure and maintain Tanium modules including Core, Deploy, Patch, Comply, Discover, and others as required
-Develop sensors, packages, dashboards, and automated remediation workflows
-Monitor platform performance, data integrity, and endpoint coverage
-Assist with vulnerability response, patch cycles, and cyber operations support
-Integrate Tanium with enterprise security and monitoring tools
-Create and maintain system documentation, SOPs, and configuration baselines
-Participate in change management processes and coordinate with cross-functional technical teams Qualifications
-Experience deploying and operating Tanium in an enterprise environment
-Background in IT systems administration, endpoint management, or cybersecurity
-Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python
-Understanding of STIGs, system hardening practices, HBSS/ESS, and compliance frameworks
-Ability to analyze large data sets and identify remediation requirements
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
