Job description

Family Medicine Physician (Tanglewood)

This position is located at VCU Health Family Medicine at VCU Health Tanglewood Family Medicine - Bracey, VA. The Department of Family Medicine and Population Health at Virginia Commonwealth University is currently recruiting for a BC/BE family physician. We are seeking a Full-Time physician that will be involved in medical student teaching and could participate in departmental research programs. This position will come with a competitive salary and generous benefit package as well as the ability to earn clinical bonuses.

The VCU Department of Family Medicine and Population Health exists to:

  • IMPROVE the health and well-being of the people of Virginia and beyond
  • ADVANCE the science of epidemiology, family medicine, and public health by means of innovative, interdisciplinary research
  • EDUCATE ourselves, our patients, our learners, and other stakeholders
  • PROVIDE high quality primary care, public health services, and lead their integration
  • TRAIN the next generation of epidemiologists, family physicians, and public health professionals

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide the highest quality of primary care services to new and established patients in the community.
  • Serve on hospital or departmental committees when appropriate.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine
  • Eligible for full staff privileges at VCU Health System
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Virginia
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
