ROLE: HP NONSTOP (TANDEM) PLATFORM OWNER (SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR)

LOCATION: LOUISVILLE, KY (RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE)

JOB TYPE: FULL-TIME 

Overview

We are seeking an experienced HP NonStop (Tandem) Platform Owner (System Administrator) to lead the administration, stability, security, and continuous improvement of a mission-critical HP NonStop environment supporting enterprise applications in a 24x7 high-availability infrastructure.

As the technical owner of the platform, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, scalability, and security of the HP NonStop environment while partnering closely with application development, infrastructure, and operations teams. This role offers an opportunity to own one of the organization''s most critical technology platforms and contribute to its long-term modernization and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

•              Own the administration, performance, and lifecycle management of HP NonStop (Tandem) platforms across production and non-production environments.

•              Ensure high availability, reliability, security, and operational stability of mission-critical systems.

•              Monitor platform health, performance, capacity, and availability while identifying opportunities for optimization.

•              Install operating system patches, software updates, and platform enhancements.

•              Lead incident response, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and perform root cause analysis.

•              Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes to support business continuity.

•              Collaborate with software engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams to optimize platform performance.

•              Manage user access, platform security, and compliance with enterprise standards.

•              Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production systems and scheduled maintenance.

•              Drive automation, operational efficiency, platform modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

•              5+ years of hands-on experience administering HP NonStop (Tandem) environments.

•              Strong expertise with:

o             HP NonStop OS

o             Guardian

o             OSS

o             TACL

o             SCF

o             FUP

•              Experience with enterprise workload scheduling and monitoring tools such as NetBatch, AutoSys, or similar.

•              Strong knowledge of NonStop security administration, compliance, and audit processes.

•              Scripting experience using TACL, SQLCI, Perl, Shell, or similar scripting languages.

•              Understanding of networking, storage infrastructure, backup technologies, and disaster recovery.

•              Experience supporting highly available, fault-tolerant enterprise platforms.

•              Working knowledge of NonStop SQL/MP and/or SQL/MX.

•              Familiarity with ITIL or enterprise change management methodologies.

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience supporting mission-critical environments in the following industries are highly preferred:
