Job description

Plant Manager – Welding & Fabrication
Phoenix, AZ
$110,000 - $130,000 per year + Annual Bonus
A growing and well-established manufacturer is expanding operations in the Phoenix market and is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead daily production operations within a welding and fabrication environment.

Important Experience Requirement
This role requires prior leadership experience in a welding and fabrication manufacturing environment. Candidates without hands-on experience managing welding and fabrication operations will not be considered for this position.
Plant Manager Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations in a welding and fabrication facility
  • Drive productivity, throughput, quality, and on-time delivery performance
  • Reduce scrap, rework, downtime, and production inefficiencies
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
  • Manage and develop supervisors, team leads, and production employees
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and maintain a strong safety culture
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve production issues
  • Manage workforce planning, staffing, scheduling, and labor efficiency
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the facility
Qualifications
  • MUST HAVE 3+ years of manufacturing or fabrication experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a production environment
  • Experience managing welding and fabrication operations
  • MUST HAVE strong understanding of MIG welding processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing drawings
  • Experience leading hourly production employees
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Plant Manager, Operations Manager, Production Manager, or Manufacturing Manager experience
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
  • Strong knowledge of production metrics and operational performance management
