Position Summary:

Reef is seeking a people-oriented and organized HR Generalist to join our versatile human resources team, responsible for supporting and executing initiatives across multiple HR functions, including employee relations, benefits, HR operations, payroll coordination, talent acquisition, onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of HR, this role partners closely with functional HR leads to ensure seamless delivery of HR services and a positive employee experience across the organization. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable balancing both strategic initiatives and day-to-day HR administration in a fast-paced environment.

This position is expected to be a 6-month temporary role with the possibility of extension or conversion to full-time based on company needs and individual performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Support HR documentation related to employee investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Partner with the HR Operations Manager to support HR systems, data integrity, reporting, and process improvements.
  • Coordinate employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, offboarding, status changes, and personnel documentation.
  • Assist with HR audits and compliance reporting.
  • Assist with communication related to new hire benefits and leave policies.
  • Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing by assisting with payroll-related employee inquiries, timekeeping issues, and payroll documentation/reporting.
  • Ensure employee data changes are accurately communicated and documented.
  • Partner with the Senior Recruiter to support recruiting and hiring activities such as assisting with job postings, updating the applicant tracking system, coordinating and conducting interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Support employer branding and employee referral initiatives.
  • Help coordinate employee engagement activities, training programs, recognition initiatives, and company events.
  • Support HR programs, policies, and initiatives.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and employee-focused workplace culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; SHRM/PHR certification is not required but would be an added plus
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience across multiple HR disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of HR operations, payroll practices, recruiting, and employment law.
  • Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems; Paylocity is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
