Job description

About Us
OpenFX is on a mission to move money as freely as data, unrestricted by time zones, banking hours, or legacy systems. We are building the infrastructure that will power the next generation of cross-border payment systems for institutions. The team's execution has been exceptional, and we're scaling at a remarkable pace. Our stellar early team comes with experience in companies like J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, FalconX, Paypal, Affirm, Polygon, Kraken, Nium & others. We're backed by Accel, Lightspeed, NfX and other top-tier investors.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Talent Lead to build and scale OpenFX's talent acquisition function and contribute to broader people operations as we grow. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and knows how to attract exceptional talent across multiple geographies.
You will own the full recruiting lifecycle - from sourcing strategy and employer branding to offer negotiation and agency management - while also contributing to onboarding, workforce planning, and hiring analytics. You will partner closely with hiring managers and leadership across engineering, product, compliance, operations, and go-to-market teams to ensure we hire the right people at the right time.
This role reports to the Head of People Operations & Talent and is based in any of our core locations: Miami, London, Dubai, or Bengaluru.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Talent Acquisition & Recruiting
    • Own and execute end-to-end recruiting across all functions, from opening a role through close, with a focus on quality, speed, and candidate experience.
    • Build and manage sourcing strategies across multiple channels - direct outreach, referrals, job boards, events, and partnerships - to develop a strong, diverse pipeline.
    • Manage relationships with external recruiting agencies and staffing partners, including contract negotiation, performance tracking, and cost optimization.
    • Drive employer branding initiatives to position OpenFX as a destination for top-tier talent in fintech, payments, and infrastructure.
    • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, calibrate on candidate profiles, and run structured interview processes.
    • Own offer construction and negotiation, ensuring competitive and equitable compensation packages aligned with internal bands and market data.
  • Onboarding & New Hire Experience
    • Design and continuously improve the global onboarding experience to ensure new hires are set up for success from day one.
    • Coordinate cross-functional onboarding logistics - equipment, systems access, buddy programs, and first-week schedules - across all locations.
    • Gather structured feedback from new hires to identify gaps and iterate on the onboarding process.
  • Workforce Planning & Hiring Analytics
    • Partner with leadership to develop quarterly and annual headcount plans aligned with business objectives and budget.
    • Build and maintain hiring dashboards and reporting - pipeline health, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, offer acceptance rates, and diversity metrics.
    • Use data to identify bottlenecks, forecast hiring needs, and drive continuous improvement in recruiting operations.
  • Recruiting Operations & Systems
    • Own the Greenhouse ATS configuration, workflows, and data hygiene to ensure efficient and consistent hiring processes.
    • Develop and document standard operating procedures for recruiting - intake meetings, interview loops, scorecards, feedback collection, and dispositioning.
    • Evaluate and implement tools and systems to improve sourcing, scheduling, assessments, and candidate communication.

What we are looking for
Must-haves:
  • 7-10+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead capacity at a high-growth startup or scale-up.
  • Proven track record of hiring across multiple functions (engineering, product, operations, compliance, go-to-market) and geographies.
  • Deep experience managing the full recruiting lifecycle - sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and close.
  • Strong experience with Greenhouse or a comparable ATS, including workflow design, reporting, and process optimization.
  • Experience managing external agency relationships, including negotiation and performance management.
  • Hands-on, execution-oriented leader who can operate as both a strategic partner and an individual contributor.
  • Excellent judgment and communication skills - you know how to calibrate with hiring managers, advise leadership, and represent OpenFX to candidates.
  • Experience hiring in at least two of our core regions: US, UK/Europe, UAE/Middle East, or India.

What helps you stand out:
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or financial infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with PEO/EOR employment arrangements for international hiring.
  • Experience building employer brand programs, careers pages, or talent marketing campaigns.
  • Exposure to workforce planning, compensation benchmarking, or people analytics.
  • Experience with Rippling or similar HRIS platforms.

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Equity in a rapidly growing company.
  • Opportunity to work in a fast-paced startup at the forefront of fintech innovation.
  • Opportunity to make a significant impact on global financial infrastructure
  • Collaborative work culture with emphasis on personal and professional growth.

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
