JOB SUMMARY

Marriott, the world's largest hotel company, is seeking a Talent Analytics leader to help enhance its HR Analytics capabilities through the delivery of scalable analytics products and actionable workforce insights that support global HR decision-making. As part of a highly visible team, this position plays a dual role-leading the development of analytics products while also conducting and translating people analytics research into clear, compelling stories that drive business action.

The Senior Manager, Talent Analytics leads the end-to-end delivery of analytics products, translating prioritized business needs into scalable, high-quality solutions. In parallel, the role partners with stakeholders to frame business questions, conduct workforce analyses and research, and communicate findings through executive-ready narratives and recommendations. Working closely with Analytics Research, Data Engineering, and Global Technology teams, this position ensures products and insights are delivered efficiently, meet business requirements, and remain sustainable over time. It also plays a critical role in shaping HR analytics strategy, advancing modern product-based analytics, and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making across a diverse, global HR stakeholder community.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business discipline required

5+ years of relevant experience in analytics, strategy, consulting, or product management, with increasing leadership responsibility (for candidates with a bachelor's degree) OR 2+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree

5+ years experience developing data visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Oracle Data Visualization

5+ years experience building custom analytics applications (Oracle APEX, Oracle Visual Builder Studio or similar platforms)

5+ years of SQL/data querying experience

Preferred

Advanced degree

1-3 years of HTML/CSS experience

Experience managing delivery of analytics or data products at enterprise scale across global, matrixed organizations

Experience working with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, business stakeholders)

Experience managing or influencing cross-functional teams delivering analytics or data products

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

1. Analytics Product Delivery

Lead end-to-end execution of analytics product builds (dashboards, data pipelines, applications, reporting tools)

Define and evolve the product roadmap for HR analytics solutions, aligning investments to business priorities and enterprise data strategy

Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and delivery plans

Manage sprint execution, timelines, and delivery quality across multiple concurrent initiatives

Ensure solutions are scalable, performant, and aligned to enterprise standards

2. Analytics Development (UI & Semantic Layers)

Design and develop analytics applications using low-code platforms (e.g., Oracle APEX, Visual Builder), including hands-on configuration and build of production-ready solutions

Partner with engineering and product teams to build integrated front-end experiences across analytics and application layers

Drive best practices in UI/UX for analytics products, ensuring usability, accessibility, and consistency across platforms

Understand back-end solutions, including APIs, databases, and server-side scripting to be able to communicate requirements to the research team.

Develop and maintain application documentation, including flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code

Ensure application operability by troubleshooting and resolving software or implementation issues

Conceptualize, design and build data models for use by the broader analytics team, and key analytics HR super users.

3. Cross-Functional Partnership & Requirements

Explain complex analytics to a broad audience with varying levels of technical background and understanding.

Partner with planning teams to articulate possible solutions to business problems and to develop requirements for new models

Partner closely with continent partners, HR leadership, and centers of excellence to understand prioritized demand and requirements

Identify and solve complex business challenges using data-driven approaches and scalable analytics solutions

Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to deliver integrated solutions

Serve as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders during execution

Lead change management efforts to drive adoption of modern analytics products, transitioning stakeholders from legacy reporting to scalable, self-service solutions

Influence and guide HR stakeholders in evolving how analytics is consumed, interpreted, and applied to decision-making

4. Product Quality & Standards

Ensure application performance, reliability, and scalability through structured testing (e.g., functional, performance, and user acceptance testing)

Ensure consistency in data definitions, calculations, and product design

Establish and uphold standards for analytics product quality, usability, and performance

Ensure clear documentation of analytics products, including data definitions, logic, and user workflows to support adoption and sustainability

5. Operational Excellence

Write, update, and maintain technical requirements. These technical requirements should be able to be easily understood and translated into code by technical resources that are not in attendance at business facing calls.

Optimize delivery processes, including agile workflows, sprint planning, and release management

Identify opportunities to streamline development and reduce redundancy across products

Manage dependencies across projects and teams

6. Analytics Storytelling & Research

Develop executive-ready presentations, visualizations, and communications that connect data insights to business outcomes and talent strategies.

Partner with HR leaders, Centers of Excellence, and business stakeholders to frame analytical findings in ways that influence decisions and drive action.

Lead and support people analytics research initiatives, including workforce studies, talent assessments, program evaluations, benchmarking, and ad hoc strategic analyses.

Apply research methodologies to identify trends, uncover root causes, and generate actionable insights from large and complex workforce datasets.

Familiarity with cloud-based analytics and data modeling tools (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, semantic modeling tools)

Experience with programming languages for data analysis (e.g., Python, R, or SAS) a plus

Experience building front-end interfaces and custom user experiences for analytics products

Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative findings into concise business insights and executive communications.
