Job Summary:
Pointer Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Database Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient database solutions. The role involves ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of database systems while collaborating with various teams to support data needs.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable database systems for high-performance applications.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and schema design.
• Develop and manage ETL pipelines to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
• Collaborate with software developers, data scientists, and business teams to support data needs.
• Ensure database security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Perform regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and failover testing.
• Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and provide on-call support as needed.
• Research and implement emerging database technologies to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
