Job description

Responsibilities
Peraton seeks a ETL/DATA Pipeline Engineer as a Lead Associate to support Department of Defense Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with DCO AI Cyber Security Support. Location: Fort Meade, MD. In this role, you will develop and maintain Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data into enterprise storage systems supporting DCDC analytics.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement ETL workflows using Airflow, NiFi, or similar
  • Develop data transformation logic for schema compliance
  • Integrate data from IoT streams, APIs, and legacy systems
  • Implement data validation and quality checks
  • Optimize pipeline performance and reliability
  • Maintain data lineage tracking and documentation

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
  • Expert proficiency in ETL tools (Airflow, NiFi, Talend)
  • Strong SQL and Python skills
  • Experience with data transformation and cleansing
  • Knowledge of SchemaOne or similar standards
  • Understanding of data governance principles
  • U.S Citizenship required
  • DoD TS with ability to obtain/maintain SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Data engineering certifications preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5-8 years of specific experience

Target Salary Range
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
