Job description

Job Title: Shipping Associate / Floater

Job Description:

As a Shipping Associate / Floater, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and timely shipment of track loaders, while also providing flexible support to assembly operations as needed. This position works primarily outdoors and requires adaptability to shift between shipping, receiving, and assembly support functions based on production needs. You will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and processing orders for shipment, coordinating with various departments to ensure accuracy and adherence to shipping schedules. Your attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will directly contribute to the overall success of both our logistics and production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare track loaders for shipment by verifying and packaging products according to company standards.
  • Accurately process shipping orders using the company’s inventory and shipping software.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and assembly teams to ensure timely and accurate shipment of orders.
  • Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Support assembly operations as needed, including assisting with basic assembly tasks, staging materials, and helping maintain production flow.
  • Assist assembly team members with moving parts, components, or finished goods between workstations.
  • Maintain organized and clean shipping, receiving, and assembly support areas.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure outgoing shipments meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
  • Generate and attach shipping labels, packing slips, and other required documentation.
  • Track and report shipment statuses, escalating any issues or delays promptly.
  • Assist in inventory management, including cycle counts, stock organization, and updating inventory records.
  • Follow all safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

• Monday: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM
• Tuesday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Wednesday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Thursday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Work hours may be adjusted based on production schedules, shipping requirements, and other business needs. Additional hours and overtime may be required as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or manufacturing/assembly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn and safely perform basic assembly tasks.
  • Proficiency with inventory and shipping software; ERP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (certification preferred).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and willing to support multiple areas based on operational needs.
  • Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Manual dexterity to handle packages, tools, and warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily outdoor work environment with exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • May include intermittent indoor work in assembly or warehouse areas.
