Professional Childcare Position with Flexible Scheduling

Jovie of Reno-Tahoe is seeking dependable, experienced childcare professionals who genuinely enjoy working with children and value being part of a supportive, professional team.

This position is ideal for caregivers looking for flexible, ongoing work with families who rely on high-quality, trusted childcare — not occasional gig work. We are looking for individuals who are punctual, responsible, communicative, and committed to creating positive experiences for children and families.

Schedule & Availability

We are currently hiring caregivers with a variety of availability, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

⭐ Priority scheduling and placement opportunities are available for caregivers who can work:

  • Monday–Friday between 7AM–7PM

At minimum, applicants should have:

  • Availability at least 3 weekdays between 7AM–7PM
  • Availability for every other weekend

We understand flexibility matters and work hard to create schedules that fit your availability whenever possible.


Responsibilities
  • Provide attentive, engaging care for children from infancy through school age
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
  • Lead age-appropriate activities, play, and routines
  • Follow household guidelines and parenting preferences
  • Communicate professionally with parents and the Jovie office team
  • Arrive prepared, dependable, and ready to support families

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Minimum 1 year of paid childcare experience
    (nannying, babysitting, daycare, preschool, teaching, camp counseling, etc.)
  • Experience caring for children independently
  • Reliable vehicle and willingness to commute throughout the Reno-Tahoe region
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a motor vehicle background screening (MVR)
  • CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
  • May be required to pass a drug screening
  • Strong childcare references
  • Dependable, communicative, and adaptable
