POSITION SUMMARY:
The Scan Coordinator I is responsible for changing and updating all price signs and tags throughout the entire store for each weekly special on a weekly basis paying special attention to weekly specials using handheld device.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Take inventory or scan the merchandise to identify the prices to be updated;
  • Change shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new prices as needed;
  • Receive, open, unpack, and issue price tickets of merchandise; create a label for new products on the shelf;
  • Identify mislabeled products, misallocated product, and wrongfully priced product;
  • Compare merchandise prices, dates, and UPC codes to ensure that they are correct;
  • Order extra price tags and or signage based on merchandise on hand, customer demand, or advertised specials;
  • Perform daily audits and generate reports to ensure that all prices of merchandise are updated;
  • Operate registers, scales, computers, printers, handheld device;
  • Place all signs of items for the one-day specials;
  • Remove expired price tags and replaces with new tags;
  • Be attentive to information being sent from our support center Data integrity department;
  • All other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS:
The physical demands and work conditions below represent those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Some requirements may be modified to accommodate individuals with disabilities:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use the hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Successful performance requires vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The work environment is that typical of an office and retail store. The noise level ranges from quiet to loud.
  • Able to drive and flexible to travel to all company locations as required.
  • LIFTING: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work schedules are variables depending on the needs of price changes the schedules will be variable working from midnight.
