Tafco has been manufacturing quality walk-ins for over 65 years. In addition to walk-in coolers and freezers, we are a leading supplier of modular insulated panels and refrigeration products for large warehouses, pharmaceutical applications, universities, government, and military applications.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans that accurately represent designs and specifications for various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and relevant software applications.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. - Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop detailed drawings and plans for construction projects.
  2. - Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) to create and modify design documents.
  3. - Interpret and translate concepts into technical drawings, including schematics, diagrams, layouts, and models.
  4. - Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and codes during the drafting process.
  5. - Revise drawings based on feedback from stakeholders and project requirements.
  6. - Maintain organized records of drawings and documents for project tracking and future reference.
  7. - Stay updated on the latest drafting technologies and best practices to continuously improve the quality of work.
Qualifications:

- Associate’s degree or equivalent in Drafting, Design Technology, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a draftsman or drafter.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools (e.g., SketchUp, Civil 3D).
- Strong understanding of technical drawing standards, building codes, and industry regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling and visualization software is a plus.
