While both Tactical Rns and Emergency Room Nurses hold RN licenses and share certifications like BLS and ACLS, Tactical Rns typically work in military or tactical environments, focusing on field and combat scenarios. Emergency Room Nurses operate mainly in hospital ERs, managing acute trauma and medical emergencies. The roles differ mainly in work setting and specific operational focus, though both require critical care skills.

How to become a tactical nurse?

To become a tactical nurse, you typically need to be a licensed registered nurse (RN) with experience in emergency or critical care. Additional training in tactical medicine, such as specialized courses or certifications like Tactical Emergency Medical Support (TEMS), is often required, along with physical fitness and the ability to work in high-pressure environments.
