Job Description
Summary of Position: The Retail Associate at Crooked Hammock Brewery serves as a brand ambassador and product expert on the retail sales floor. This role approaches each shift with energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Retail Associates demonstrate strong product knowledge and sales floor ownership by actively engaging with guests, recommending merchandise, sharing product details, and accurately processing retail transactions. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming, upbeat, and memorable retail environment that keeps guests coming back (and repping the Hammock wherever they go). Above all, this role embodies the Crooked Hammock spirit - you must truly Enjoy the Ride!
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all retail sales activities including greeting customers, overseeing the sales floor, suggesting items, lending opinions and providing product information
  • Provide a positive shopping experience for our customers by demonstrating outstanding customer service and high-caliber selling skills
  • Assist with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise & product shipments
  • Keep the selling floor stocked with merchandise
  • Assist with display of merchandise and organizing the sales floor and stock areas
  • Manage financial transactions by totaling purchases, processing payments, documenting sales, and processing checks, cash, and store or other credit cards
  • Respond to customer inquiries and process customer refunds courteously and professionally
  • Maintain a professional attitude with sincerity and enthusiasm reflecting our commitment to our guests & customers
  • Develop product knowledge by reading relevant materials and staying up-to-date with product specs & changes
  • Stay current with promotional events and sales and expand knowledge of products so that customer questions can be properly addressed
  • Promote brand loyalty programs and other incentives
  • Maintain cleanliness & ensure the sales floor is organized and conducive for an enjoyable shopping experience
  • Alert management of potential security issues
  • Collaborate with peers, management, and customers to make suggestions for improvements
  • Live the brand and be a brand ambassador; make decisions in the best interest of the restaurant every time

Qualifications:
  • 1-3+ years of hospitality or sales experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree in marketing/business or related field preferred
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Must possess eloquent telephone etiquette and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate with customers, team and management
  • Knowledge of customer and market dynamics
  • Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a self-starter work ethic
  • Customer service oriented focus with a passion for hospitality & building relationships with customers
