Job description

Overview
ViaPath is looking for a Technician 1, Tablet Repair to join our growing team. The role of the Technician 1, Tablet Repairs is to support the analysis and repair of high volumes of android tablet computers and requires the ability to prioritize tasks, proactively identify and address issues, and exercise clear communication. This position will be based in our climate controlled warehouse.
This position is for second shift.
Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis on computer tablets, assess functionality, replace components as needed and maintain repair records
  • Perform CTP screen and battery replacements
  • Perform board level component replacement, i.e. auxiliary and USB jacks which requires soldering
  • Disassemble and work with small, delicate components and reassemble correctly
  • Provide recommendation for problem resolution
  • Meet all requirements to successfully pass training and meet all established KPI's for tablet repair; Successfully and consistently meet the daily target for correctly repairing tablets that are free from defect and pass Quality Control review
  • Be organized, thorough and accurate while diagnosing and repairing tablets

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • A minimum of 1 year of related repair experience (Tablet, Cell phone, etc.)
  • Soldering skills preferred
  • Will be required to successfully pass training and meet all established KPI's for tablet repair; Successfully and consistently meet the daily target for correctly repairing tablets that are free from defect and pass Quality Control review
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Must have a positive, can-do, team-oriented attitude
  • Self-motivated; Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate, timely and cost-effective repairs
  • Organized, thorough and accurate while diagnosing and repairing tablets
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Have a great attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to disassemble and work with small delicate components and reassemble correctly
  • Basic computer skills, MS Office suite a plus
  • Shift schedule subjct to change based on business needs
